New Existence's Steamer rating drops to "mixed" as more fans entrust more than veto reviews

MMO New Macrocosm's aggregate user score has dropped from "largely positive" to "mixed".

According to the review rating along Steam, just 61 per centum of the reviews added in the last 30 days are positive – which means one in three players are less pleased with the MMO's recent changes.

A glance through the review page gives lots of reasons why the game's popularity is waning, but most seem to personify unhappy with a change in the game's "grind" economy, while others remain foiled by the MMO's plentiful bugs (thanks, TheGamer).

"I induce 280+ hours in this game as of piece of writing," wrote one troubled player. "I started day 2 or 3, basically as soon as launch day queues ordained. I diddle on Utensia, a great middle-pop server (~1,000 players peak, no queues) with all factions feasible. I level capped, have a high gear score watermark, am an officer of a PvP company that holds territory, and run all end-game pleased (state of war, invasions, raids, pvp domain.) I am at the end of the rainbow. In that location is no pot of gold. It's just a kooky mess, unfulfilled promises, and devs also busy workings to implement server transfers to actually fix the game.

"Several features are broken. Several systems are humble. Servers are dying. Bottom job: the game ISN't painted and you're already late to the party. Save your money."

The player had 291 hours clocked up in New World at the time they wrote the review, but are clearly still playing – the total number of hours on record now exceeds 512.

Another player – this one and only with 823 hours on record – said: "Started out fine, seemed like there were righteous some bugs they needed to play out but it's been an absolute mess that just keeps getting worse with every 'update'."

Information technology's not complete bad for New World, though.

"A great deal of the great unwashe are complaining about New World lately. It definitely has been dealings with issues, but as somebody that has played MMOs since the new Everquest days in '99/early 2000s, EVERY MMO has bugs and issues," writes jaymo.

"I've been enjoying the game a pot, and the devs seem to constitute pretty actively dealing with issues and deliver been much to a greater extent transparent about it all than I expected, which is a good thing. Not all companies have been this talkative or active in dealings with their MMOs' issues after unloosen in the past.

"Beat all, this has been the nigh fun I've had with an MMO since early WoW, and I've played quite a few since then."

The update and promises come after a Litany of issues for Revolutionary World players, including an exploit that was crashing games every time someone sent images – or worse – via its world chat client, resulting in "unsavory behavior". Amazon was also recently strained to increase server content for every world in a call to reduce New World line up times, and as lately as just a few weeks noncurrent, players were once again reporting that playing Brand-new World was bricking GPUs, although Amazon has firmly refuted the claims.

ICYMI, Amazon Games' New Domain has apparently dropped around one-half of its combined billion player base since it launched a calendar month ago. An analysis of the information freely available on SteamCharts suggests the MMO has been losing or so 135,000 players a week since IT launched at the end of September, at which time it make an magnificent concurrent player apex of 913,027 players on October 3.
