Can I Wash A Makeup Puff

Hello everyone! Today I'd like to evidence you lot how I make clean my makeup puffs!

Some of you may want to ask me why I don't just buy new ones and that washing isn't equally hygienic as buying new ones. Well, the answer is this: I have very oily skin and my puffs are caked with sebum and makeup within 8-10 uses. If I bought a new puff for the times where I needed to launder a puff, I would demand effectually 5 puffs a month. That is an expensive luxury for me, since I'thousand broke (marrying is expensive). :joy:

With that said, allow'south move on to my little tutorial!

This is the puff from my Innisfree No Sebum Loose Mineral Pulverisation. I dear that pulverization very much. However, my poor puff suffers from my backlog oil and sebum production and cakes up like this. This isn't the just problem either - when the puff is this caked, it confronts me with a few problems:

• The pulverisation does not stay on the puff and I only terminate upward patting my face with the icky caked stuff.

• The cakey sebum and makeup from the puff blocks the holes in the dispenser in my pulverization container.

• The caked puff becomes a 5-Star hotel for leaner.

Hither is how I get my puff to go like new:

Cleansing Oil

I apply a very generous corporeality of cleansing oil to the puff and massage it in for around 30 seconds. The cleansing oil that I'm currently using is the Scinic My Peach Cleansing Oil, which is a favourite product of mine which is sadly discontinued (every bit far as I'm aware).

I then rinse the cleansing oil away with warm h2o, and the puff looks like this:

Already looking better, correct? Well await a picayune longer! The second step is the most of import!

Antibacterial Soap

Directly after rising the cleansing oil away, I add a gentle and antibacterial soap to the puff. It's absolutely crucial that the soap is antibacterial!

The soap I used here is from Sagrotan. I so massage it in until it foams up and rinse it with warm h2o.

It's important to rinse for a much longer time in guild to remove all the soap from deep inside the puff. Squeeze the puff and let it absorb as much water as possible, and then squeeze information technology once more. Repeat this until the water is running admittedly clear and chimera-free.

After this, I press the puff in a clean towel to blot backlog h2o and then permit it air-dry face up-up. The puff will exist as expert as new and prepare for your adjacent makeup application!

This may seem similar an obvious thing to some, but I accept seen some people in the community asking information technology's okay to clean and reuse puffs - yes information technology is! This is simply how I do it.

Thanks for reading! :sparkling_heart:
